Rick Perry to Announce GOP Candidacy Saturday

From Fox News:

Texas Gov. Rick Perry will make "a definitive announcement that he is in the 2012 race for the presidency Saturday," aides told Fox News.

The language is significant. For several days the Perry camp has said he would signal his intentions and announce later.

"This is it," the sources explain. No exploratory committee, no more deliberation.

Perry will spend most of next week on the road officially campaigning.

Team Perry acknowledges they had only been hinting about a run earlier, but now tells Fox News first that Saturday is the official launch.

Dear Friend,

Today (June 27th) we start a brand new series called "Christ in the Heart", which shows that true Christianity is not simply emotionalism, but rather a religion of both heart and mind.

The broadcast on June 27th is "The importance of Spiritual Growth" Part 1.
Today, many people have shied away from experiential Christianity, but as Dr Lloyd- Jones points out, the essence of the Christian position is experience - experience of God. The challenge, of course, is in maintaining a balance so that Christianity may be seen for what it really is - a religion of both mind and heart, and of word and Spirit.

The broadcast on the July 4th is "The importance of Spiritual Growth" Part 2.
One of the most wonderful promises in all of Scripture is found in Paul's letter to the Galatians, where he tells us that God has sent us the Spirit of His Son into our hearts, crying "Abba, Father". What an intimate and tender promise that is. Indeed it tell us that our relationship with God should be one not only satisfies our minds, but that is truly experiential. In other words, we should actually experience the presence of God in our lives. But isn't that just emotionalism? Dr Lloyd-Jones tackles that question in this sermon.

To those who have been able to donate to our ministry, we thank you so much. For those who have not had an opportunity, but would like to help us continue funding this ministry, a link to our donations page is at the bottom left of this eMail (your VeriSign secured contribution will be processed by Groundspring, a member of Network for Good). As a reminder, the MLJ Trust is 501 (c) (3) charitable organization consisting of four Board members who volunteer their time, and no staff. You can learn more about us at www.mljtrust.org .

As always, we only want to be sending these eMails to friends of the ministry who want to receive them, and so if you would prefer not to receive them, simply click on the "unsubscribe" link below and you will be removed from this eMail list.

Thank you again for your interest in the Ministry of Martyn Lloyd-Jones!

Every blessing,

Jonathan
